Confidential non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide. Whatever you're going through, whether it's big or small, the Samaritans offer 24/7 support if you're worried about something, feel upset or confused, or just want to talk to someone. They offer services by telephone, email, letter and face to face in most of their branches.

Practical help to improve quality of life for people affected by mental illness. Out of hours telephone help line. Opening hours: 12noon to 2am 

Brighton service for lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender people who have concerns about their mental health and/or need help in accessing mental health services or other support. MindOut offers advice, information, advocacy and peer support group and runs a weekly group work service where LGBT people with mental health issues can share their experiences, problems and stories with each other in a safe, confidential space.The MindOut Service operates 9am-5pm on Monday-Thursday.
